09:29 AM EDT, 10/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said Wednesday it has agreed to buy fixed wireless broadband services provider Starry to expand its fixed wireless access network and reach more multi-dwelling units in major US cities.

Financial terms were not provided.

The deal, slated to close by Q1 2026, will likely support Verizon's goal to increase fixed wireless subscribers to 8 million to 9 million by 2028 and extend broadband availability to 90 million households.
