Vertex Names Christopher Young as New CEO, Sees Q3 Revenue In Line With Expectations

09:05 AM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Vertex (VERX) said Tuesday its board has named Christopher Young as the company's president and CEO, effective Nov. 10.

Young will succeed David DeStefano, who will retire from both roles on the same date. Young most recently served as an executive vice president for business development at Microsoft ( MSFT ) , Vertex said.

Vertex also said it expects Q3 total revenue to be about $192 million, up from $170.4 million from a year ago. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $191.6 million.
