10:53 AM EDT, 09/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Viasat ( VSAT ) said Tuesday it has been awarded a $33.6 million contract to provide Active Electronically Scanned Array systems for the US Air Force.

Under the deal, the company said it will develop a new phased array antenna that can support resilient satellite communications for tactical aircraft.

Shares of Viasat ( VSAT ) were up 1.3% in recent trading.
