07:27 AM EDT, 07/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Wendy's (WEN) said Tuesday it signed two franchise agreements to develop up to 190 new restaurants across Italy and Armenia.

In Italy, the fast food chain said it entered into an exclusive franchise agreement with Your Food to open 170 new restaurants through 2035. The first two Wendy's restaurants are expected to open in mid-2026 in Milan, according to a statement.

In Armenia, Wendy's said it entered into an exclusive franchise agreement with Wen Restaurant to put up 20 new restaurants through 2030, with the first location anticipated in Yerevan's city center.

Wendy's said it plans to reach 2,000 international restaurants by 2028, and aims to achieve 70% of its unit growth outside the US.
