Oracle Corporation ( ORCL ) stock has gained more than 11% following Monday's better-than-expected earnings release and partnership announcements.

What To Know:

Oracle beat analyst expectations on the top and bottom lines in the first quarter, and CEO Safra Catz highlighted growth in operating income and earnings per share as Cloud Services became Oracle's largest business. 

The company also announced a new partnership with Amazon.com, Inc.'s ( AMZN ) Amazon Web Services (AWS). The partnership brings Oracle's database services to Amazon Web Services through Oracle Database@AWS

Oracle announced new AI capabilities within the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite at its annual Oracle CloudWorld event on Wednesday. The latest AI capabilities include more than 50 new generative AI agents that assist with authoring, advice, and recommended actions.
