Want full FTA not early harvest deal with India, say EU officials ahead of summit

Ahead of the 15th annual India-EU Summit, European Union officials have confirmed that they expect a comprehensive free trade agreement (FTA) rather than an early harvest deal with India.

People aware of the development told CNBC-TV18 that the European Union is not ready to set a definitive timeline for FTA talks, because they feel India needs to address its protectionist stand on tariffs.
