Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Strong Buy Opinion On Shares Of Mp Materials Corp.
Jul 17, 2025 8:51 AM

11:40 AM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We increase our 12-month target by $2 to $70, using an EV/EBITDA of 23.0x our pro forma 2028 EBITDA estimate of $650 million. Our sales and earnings estimates are unchanged, while the agreement with Apple adds more conviction to our view that the cash flow estimates have strong visibility. Just days after the transformative agreement with the Pentagon, MP announced a $500 million long-term supply agreement with Apple to provide rare earth magnets for Apple devices. Following the stock's sharp year-to-date rally (up nearly 275%), MP moved quickly to raise capital through an upsized equity offering of 11.8 million shares priced at $55, raising roughly $650 million. Although this equity raise will dilute shareholders by about 7%, we think this equity infusion is prudent, locking in capital at a strong valuation to fund accelerated expansion, including construction of its second magnet facility and other initiatives. Taken together, these developments substantially de-risk MP's path to its growth strategy.
