U.S. stocks traded mostly higher midway through trading, with the Dow Jones index falling more than 50 points on Tuesday.
The Dow traded down 0.19% to 50,484.59 while the NASDAQ gained 1.18% to 26,656.02. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.71% to 7,526.20.

Information technology shares jumped by 1.9% on Tuesday.
In trading on Tuesday, consumer staples stocks fell by 1.5%.
Top Headline
The S&P Cotality Case-Shiller Home Price Index increased 0.8% year-over-year in March, following a 0.9% gain in February.
Equities Trading UP
J-Star Holding Co Ltd ( YMAT ) shares shot up 190% to $1.32 after the company announced it received formal authorization from the Central Bank of Taiwan to initiate under the Sovereign-Backed financing framework for its strategic U.S. infrastructure expansion initiative.
Shares of Linkage Global Inc ( UZX ) got a boost, surging 114% to $0.95 after the company announced an $8 million buyback.
Nocera Inc ( NCRA ) shares were also up, gaining 85% to $0.45 after the company announced a planned strategic corporate transformation and rebranding initiative centered around the proposed formation of Nocera Holdings.
Equities Trading DOWN
AutoZone Inc ( AZO ) shares dropped 11% to $3,032.00 after reporting third-quarter results.
Shares of YY Group Holding Ltd ( YYGH ) were down 29% to $0.27. The company announced a strategic partnership with Velobotics to advance autonomous facility management capabilities in Southeast Asia.
Horizon Quantum Holdings Ltd ( HQ ) was down, falling 12% to $12.26.

In commodity news, oil traded down 2.9% to $93.84 while gold traded down 0.1% at $4,518.50.
Silver traded up 0.7% to $76.730 on Tuesday, while copper rose 0.4% to $6.4020.
Euro zone
European shares were mostly lower today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 fell 0.3%, while Spain's IBEX 35 Index fell 0.1%. London's FTSE 100 rose 0.4%, Germany's DAX fell 0.6%, while France's CAC 40 dipped 0.8%.

Asian markets closed lower on Tuesday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 falling 0.25%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declining 0.03%, China's Shanghai Composite falling 0.17% and India's BSE Sensex declining 0.63%
Economics
The S&P Cotality Case-Shiller Home Price Index increased 0.8% year-over-year in March, following a 0.9% gain in February.
The Chicago Fed National Activity Index climbed to +0.14 in April versus a revised reading of –0.15 in March.
The FHFA house price index rose 0.1% in March compared to a revised 0.1% decline in February.
