09:02 AM EDT, 06/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were declining premarket Friday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) down 0.2% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 0.2% and United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 0.6%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.2% at $81.42 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.1% to $85.82 per barrel. Natural gas futures were down 0.3% at $2.732 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Oceaneering International ( OII ) said its Manufactured Products segment secured an umbilical contract worth about $50 million in revenue, with an unnamed domestic independent energy company. Oceaneering International ( OII ) was almost 1% lower pre-bell.
