03:30 PM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks advanced late Tuesday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index rising 1.1% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) adding 1.3%.

The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector index jumped 4.4%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities index was up 0.1%.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 1.5% to $63.48 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent gained 1.7% to $65.71 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures advanced 1% to $3.73 per 1 million BTU.

In corporate news, Algonquin Power & Utilities ( AQNB ) shares jumped past 14% after the company released its financial outlook for 2025-2027.
