The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 0.7%.

In corporate news, Ascendis Pharma ( ASND ) said Tuesday the US Food and Drug Administration postponed its decision on the company's new drug application for TransCon PTH, or palopegteriparatide, for adults with hypoparathyroidism. Its shares tumbled 6%.
