06:50 AM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US equity investors will focus on the impact of incoming economic data on monetary policy expectations during the holiday-shortened week while keeping an eye on Nvidia (NVDA) receiving approval to sell its most advanced chips in China and progress toward a Ukraine peace deal.
* American Thanksgiving is on Thursday, when markets will be closed, and this will be followed by an early close on Friday at 1 p.m. ET for stocks and 2 p.m. ET for bonds. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are scheduled for Nov. 28 and Dec. 1, respectively.
* The Trump administration is considering allowing sales of Nvidia's H200 artificial intelligence chips to China, people familiar with the matter told Reuters. Nvidia last week said its forecasts currently exclude such sales.
* Tuesday's US producer price index data assumes particular significance as it is likely to be the final critical inflation gauge available before the Federal Reserve's December policy meeting, according to an IG note. The PPI reading carries heightened importance following the postponement of October's personal consumption expenditures report, originally scheduled for Nov. 26, it added.
* Retail sales for September are also due Tuesday, and will help shape investors' monetary policy expectations. The likelihood of a 25-basis point cut in interest rates next month rose to about 72% early Monday, from 71% at the close on Friday and 42% a week ago, according to the CME FedWatch Tool.
* Quarterly earnings due this week include Dell Technologies ( DELL ) , Agilent Technologies ( A ) , Analog Devices ( ADI ) , Autodesk ( ADSK ) , Workday (WDAY), and Deere & Co. ( DE ) .
* US-Ukraine talks in Geneva on Sunday showed signs of progress toward a potential deal to end the war, Bloomberg reported. However, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington's Nov. 27 deadline for securing Kyiv's backing may slip into next week.
