In Tilak Nagar assembly election results, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Jarnail Singh has managed to defeat his nearest rival Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Rajiv Babbar by a strong margin of over 15,000 votes.
The AAP candidate from Tilak Nagar secured 25,876 votes, while the BJP candidate garnered 10,665 votes. Jarnail Singh secured over 68 percentage of votes, while BJP's Babbar languished at a little over 28 percent.
Congress candidate Raminder Singh could win just 642 votes, securing less than 2 percent of votes.

Interestingly, the Tilak Nagar assembly seat also saw two other independent candidates of Jarnail Singh's namesake who managed to garner 134 and 122 votes, respectively.
BJP candidate too had a namesake who secured 45 votes.
As many as 179 votes went for NOTA.
