Has RSS played a masterstroke by inviting Pranab Mukherjee to its Sangh Shiksha Varg event?
May 30, 2018 2:33 PM

The RSS has been in focus over the past couple of days. It has invited former President and Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee as chief guest at its annual event the Sangh Shiksha Varg. In its capacity as the ideological body and economic think tank of the BJP, the RSS has also been holding meetings with top government functionaries.

Yesterday BJP chief Amit Shah and five union ministers met top functionaries of the RSS to deliberate on the economic policies of the NDA government. The RSS' economic group which includes the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, Laghu Udyog Bharti and Swadeshi Jagran Manch participated in the meeting as well.

The discussions revolved around the BJP government's policies related to farmers and labourers. Issues such as rising fuel prices and the proposed Air India disinvestment were also discussed. CNBC-TV18 caught up with expert to understand RSS' view on the economics of the day.
