Jun 8, 2018 8:19 AM

India will cross 8% growth in next 2 years, said Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu.

The surge in growth, Prabhu believes will be due to few strategies that are now yielding fruit.

He added that the new industrial policy will be out soon and that it will propel fourth industrial revolution in India.

“Year 2019 will be better. So, 2017-2018 has been better than 2016-2017, 2018-2019 will be better than 2017-2018. I should not be surprised that in the next few quarters or next two years, we will be closed to or will cross 8% growth,” he added.

“We are coming out very soon with a new Industrial Policy,” he said.

He also said that India will be touching $5 trillion economy.
