Dec 11, 2019 6:52 AM

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched PSLV-C48 carrying its own Risat-2BR1 and nine foreign satellites on Wednesday at 3:25 pm from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Sixteen minutes after lift-off, PSLV will inject Risat-2BR1 into orbit. Nine satellites will be placed in orbit in the next 10 minutes.

It would be the 50th PSLV flight and the 75th vehicle mission from the space station. The 628 kg satellite will carry nine customer satellites, including one each from Israel, Japan, Italy, and six from the US. The inputs from the satellite applications will be used in various fields such as agriculture, forestry and disaster management support.

“#PSLVC48 carrying #RISAT2BR1 & 9 customer satellites successfully lifts off from Sriharikota,” ISRO tweeted.
