Lumding is an Assembly constituency in the Hojai district, in the Upper Assam region of Assam.

The Lumding constituency went to polls on April 1, 2021.The assembly seat is reserved for the General category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Lumding was won by Sibu Misra of BJP.

Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Swapan Kar of AIUDF.

In the 2016 assembly polls, Sibu Misra garnered 72072 votes, securing over 46.05 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 30400 votes. In percentage terms, the victory margin was 19.42 percent.

The constituency polled 156602 votes in the 2016 Assam assembly polls with a voter turnout of 85.87 percent.

The Lumding constituency has a literacy level of 90.66 percent.

A total of 7 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
