Mathabhanga is an Assembly constituency in the Cooch Behar district, in the North Bengal region of West Bengal.The Mathabhanga constituency went to polls on April 10, 2021.

The assembly seat is reserved for the Scheduled Caste category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Mathabhanga was won by Binay Krishna Barman of CPIM.Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Binay Krishna Barman of TMC.In the 2016 assembly polls, Binay Krishna Barman garnered 96383 votes, securing over 48.1 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 31918 votes.

In percentage terms, the victory margin was 15.93 percent.The constituency polled 200478 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 87.31 percent.The Mathabhanga constituency has a literacy level of 75.49 percent.A total of 9 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
