AM Naik, group executive chairman, L&T, in an interview with CNBC-TV18 shared his views on the NDA government.

NDA win was expected but not with such a big majority, so it will be a stable government now for five years, said Naik.

"It is heartening to know that they will now have a majority in Rajya Sabha sometime in 2020. So all the legislations which have been held up for years together, I hope will get cleared. I am expecting the next five years to be very productive, at least intent wise. There could be limitations resources wise but there will be no stoppage due to regulatory measures” Naik said.

According to him, judicial reforms should be a high priority for the government because justice delayed is like justice denied.

Power sector reforms are also needed to be a high priority, he said, adding that at generation level things have improved, efficiency has improved, the logistic of coal movement has improved somewhat, import of coal has made Coal India somewhat efficient but more privatisation needs to be done in the coal sector.
