Rahul promises to fill 22 lakh govt vacancies by 2020: Here's what experts say

The first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections is just 9 days away and ahead of that it's raining promises and there are surprises as well. Rahul Gandhi has left the CPI-M fuming with his decision to contest from Wayanad in Kerala, considered as a safe seat in the Congress circles.

Gandhi has promised to fill 22 lakh vacancies in the government by 2020. To discuss this, CNBC-TV18 spoke to RK Radhakrishnan, senior deputy editor of Frontline, Sanjay Jha, spokesperson of Congress, Gopal Krishna Agarwal, spokesperson of BJP, Biswajit Dhar, professor at JNU and Pronab Sen, former Chief Statistician of India.
