Supreme Court to hear Congress-JD(S) petition against BJP government in Karnataka at 10:30 AM
May 18, 2018 12:03 AM

A Supreme Court panel will hear a petition against Karnataka governor Vajubhai Vala's decision to invite BS Yeddyurappa to form a government at 10:30 AM on Friday.

The petition filed by the Congress-JD(S) combine against the Governor’s decision to invite BS Yeddyurappa to form government will be heard by a three jugde bench consisting of Justices A K Sikri, S A Bobde and Ashok Bhushan.

The development comes a day after the Court’s decision to not interfere with state Governor’s decision led to the forming of the government by the BJP, that emerged as the single largest party in the state assembly elections. The decision, however was opposed by the Congress-JD(S) combine that condemned the Governor’s decision.
