Maharashtra has specifically asked PM Modi to guide them on lockdown and the state is not in favour of opening it, sources informed CNBC TV-18.
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that state is stuck between lockdown and manufacturing, sources said. He has however asked centre to consider allowing local trains to run for government employees and healthcare workers.
As India has entered the last week of lockdown, PM Modi interacted with chief ministers via video conferencing.
"Show us specific and concrete direction on lockdown, the states will implement the same," an official statement also quoted Thackeray as telling the prime minister.
