March 23 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Monday

after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would postpone military strikes on

Iranian energy facilities, easing fears of a major escalation in the war.

At 09:32 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index

was up 0.7% at 31,528.87.
