Feb 14 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

subdued on Friday as investors took a breather after strong

gains in the previous session, but was set for a weekly gain.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 0.02% at 25692.85.
