May 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

lower on Friday, pulling back from the previous session's record

high, led by losses in mining stocks, while investors focused on

trade-related developments.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 0.16% at 25,855.50

points.
