From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and internet advertising firm Criteo ( CRTO ) , which rose 3.2% and 1.7% respectively. They were followed by 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS) and financial services company Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria ( BBVA ) , which were up 1.6% each.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical companies Cellectis ( CLLS ) and Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) , which fell 2.3% and 1.5% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications company Nokia ( NOK ) and biotech firm Evaxion ( EVAX ) , which were down 1.3% and 1.2 respectively %.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by financial services companies Lloyds Banking Group ( LYG ) and Barclays ( BCS ) , which advanced 3% and 2.2% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) and tobacco company British American Tobacco ( BTI ) , which increased 2% and 1.9% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies NuCana ( NCNA ) and Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) , which dropped 3.9% and 2.1% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics ( BCYC ) and software firm Endava ( DAVA ) , which lost 1.5% and 1.3% respectively.
