Greek industrial output rises 3.9% y/y in December

Feb 10 (Reuters) - Greek industrial output rose by 3.9%

year-on-year in December, after after an upwardly revised 4.3%

increase in ‌November, data from statistics service ELSTAT ​showed

on Tuesday.

A breakdown of index ‍components showed manufacturing

production rose ⁠3.8% ⁠from the same month in 2024. Electricity

output ‌was up by ​1.3% year-on-year, and mining production was up

by 68.2%.

The ⁠increase in ‍mining ​production was the result of the

annual changes of the sub-indices in ‍the following 2-digit

divisions: other mining and quarrying, mining of coal and

lignite - extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas - ​mining

support ‍service activities, the stats office added.

Compared to the same ​month a year earlier, in December the

greatest percentage increase was recorded in other mining and

quarrying division, while the highest percentage decrease ​was

recorded in the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers

division, ELSTAT said.
