08:26 AM EST, 11/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Allied Gold ( AAUC ) reported Thursday the second of three exploration updates at the Kurmuk mine in Ethiopia, confirming the scale and continuity of mineralized systems in the property.
Latest drill results include 12.6 meters at 2.93 grams per tonne gold at the Dish Mountain deposit, 16.4 meters at 13.0 g/t gold at the Tsenge deposit, and 10.5 meters at 1.85 g/t gold at the Tsenge-Setota deposit.
"Drilling results to date highlight areas of higher gold grades above reserve grade," the company said.
Since mid-year 2024, Allied said it has completed drilling 193 holes totaling 39,064 meters, focusing on both infill and resource model refinement, as well as on extending known zones at depth and along strike and exploring new targets.
Operations at Kurmuk are expected to start in mid-2026, Allied said.
Allied's share price jumped 9.7% on Wednesday to C$26.97 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
