Diana Shipping Signs Time Charter Contract; Sells Ultramax Dry Bulk Vessel for $26.4 Million

10:04 AM EST, 11/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Friday it has entered into a time charter contract with shipping company SwissMarine for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels called the m/v Seattle.

The gross charter rate is US$24,500, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum May 1, 2027 up to maximum June 30, 2027. The charter is expected to commence on Nov 26, Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said.

The contract is anticipated to generate a gross revenue of about $12.6 million for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter, the company said.

Additionally, Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said it signed a memorandum of agreement to sell the 2016-built Ultramax dry bulk vessel m/v DSI Drammen to an undisclosed party for $26.4 million before commissions.
