09:46 AM EST, 02/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Evolent Health ( EVH ) said Tuesday that Rick Jelinek has been named the company's new board chairman, effective at the company's next annual meeting.

The specialty health care company said Jelinek will succeed Cheryl Scott as chair.

Jelinek, who is managing partner at Czech One Capital Partners and previously was an executive vice president at CVS Health (CVS), joined the Evolent board in 2023.

Evolent also said health care investor Brendan Springstubb will join the board as an independent director when Scott steps down after three years on the panel.

The company also said its board plans to select another independent member, with directors on its nominating and governance committee now evaluating potential director nominees.
