05:26 PM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lensar ( LNSR ) said late Monday it has reached an agreement with Alcon ( ALC ) to terminate their merger agreement.

"We understand that the Federal Trade Commission intends to seek to enjoin the acquisition," the firm said.

The company said the closing condition of receiving necessary US regulatory approvals is unlikely to be met by the merger agreement's outside date of April 23.

Lensar ( LNSR ) said it will retain the $10 million deposit contemplated by the merger agreement.
