08:04 AM EDT, 03/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lithium Argentina ( LAR ) said Monday that it swung to a net income year over year in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The company booked a net income of US$31.2 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, reversing the year-ago loss of $500,000.
Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2025 totaled $92 million, with an average realized price of about $9,049 per tonne of lithium carbonate sold, the company said.
For full-year 2025, Lithium Argentina ( LAR ) reported a loss of $76.8 million, or a loss of $0.47 per share, compared to a loss of $15.2 million, or a loss of $0.09 per share, recorded in 2024.
The company attributed the higher loss to a larger share of loss from its 44.8%-owned Cauchari-Olaroz lithium operation in Argentina amounting to $39.8 million.
The loss also reflects a $9.3 million loss related to the JEMSE receivable, a higher non-cash share-based compensation expense of $15.0 million, and a $2.4 million loss on the change in the fair value of the convertible notes derivative liability.
Lithium production at Cauchari-Olaroz reached 9,700 tonnes of lithium carbonate in the fourth quarter of 2025, resulting in 2025 production of 34,100 tonnes -- a 34% increase from 2024.
For 2026, Lithium Argentina ( LAR ) set a production guidance of 35,000-40,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate.
