02:45 PM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- United States Steel ( X ) and Nippon Steel are on schedule to finalize their $14.1 billion merger with the Trump administration ahead of the June 18 merger agreement deadline, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

US Steel did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
