06:45 AM EDT, 09/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile ( SQM ) said in a regulatory filing Thursday it would issue and sell $850 million principal amount of its senior unsecured notes due 2034, carrying a 5.5% annual interest rate.

The company anticipates closing the transaction around Tuesday, Sociedad added in its regulatory filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The firm said it intends to use the net proceeds to refund its outstanding debt and general corporate purposes.
